Financial Performance Corporate Results - Non-conventional Energy
Our Bureau Mumbai, Jan. 29 Higher operating revenues enabled Suzlon Energy Ltd to nearly double its third quarter net profits. The stand-alone net increased to Rs 338.18 crore from Rs 176.23 crore in the year ago quarter, up by 91.89 per cent. The income from operations increased 49.97 per cent to Rs 1,654.96 crore from Rs 1,105.67 crore clocked in the previous quarter. Mr Tulsi Tanti, Chairman and Managing Director, Suzlon, said that the wind energy sector continued to grow at 20-25 per cent in 2007, while Suzlon had grown at much higher rate. The consolidated net profit for quarter dipped to Rs 142.84 crore from Rs 172.72 crore in the year ago quarter. The consolidated income from operations stood at Rs 3,169.76 crore (Rs 1,913.88 crore), an increase of 65.61 per cent. The order book of Suzlon as on January 25 stood at Rs 17,107 crore (3,357 MW).
