Our Bureau

Kochi, Jan. 31 A panel of eminent personalities from India’s creative world will evaluate the entries for Pepper 08, the annual creative awards competition organised by the Advertising Club of Cochin.

Top names in the industry such as Mr Sajan Raj Kurup, Chairman and Chief Creative officer of Creativeland Asia, Mr Josy Paul, Chairman of BBDO India, and Mr Prathap Suthan, National Creative Director of Cheil Worldwide, South West Asia, are the members of the jury, Mr P K Natesh, President of the Advertising Club of Cochin, said.

Addressing a press conference in Kochi, Mr Natesh said: “The three persons have proven credentials in heading juries of similar nature at national and global levels. We are also expecting higher number of participants compared with the first edition, Pepper 07.”

More than 500 entries were received for the annual creative award competition last year from various advertisement agencies based in South India. Also, more than half the applications came from outside the State – from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh last year.

Categories

The competition is open to categories such as multimedia campaigns, press, TV and radio advertising, retail advertising, outdoor campaigns, photography, print materials etc. While the winners will be given awards and certificates, the agency winning the maximum points will be honoured with Agency of the Year award.

Agencies from all the Southern states are welcome to participate in the event. While the last date for receipt of applications has been fixed at March 7, the winners will be awarded prizes at a ceremony expected to be held on March 28.
