Programme on `cleaner production'

Mangalore, Jan. 31

A one-day training programme for capacity building in `Cleaner production for industries in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts' began here on Thursday.

Inaugurating the programme, Mr M. Maheshwar Rao, Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district, said that there is a need for the industries to be on the higher sustainable growth path. Employers should have a change in the mindset to achieve this growth. The training programme was jointly organised by the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Centre for Sustainable Development, the Dakshina Kannada District administration and the Udupi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. - Our Bureau
