Cochin chamber anniversary

Kochi, Feb. 1

The Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry will commemorate the completion of 150 years of services to trade and industry here on Monday. The former President of India, Mr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, will be the chief guest. Dr Thomas Issac, State Finance Minister, and the Assocham President, Mr Venugopal Dhoot, will present on the occasion. Mr Kalam will also release a book on the history of the Chamber titled `A journey through Time 1857-2007' at the function. He will also unveil a plaque announcing the chamber's Cochin Waste Energy project. - Our Bureau
