With rising input costs, speciality steelmaker Mukund Steel registered a dip in net profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 at Rs 19.06 crore, against Rs 23.72 crore logged for the same quarter a year ago. Total turnover was up marginally at Rs 552 crore (Rs 532 crore). During the quarter, the steel division clocked revenues of Rs 480 crore (Rs 456 crore) and the industrial machinery division posted a 30 per cent increase in revenue at Rs 64 crore (Rs 49 crore).
