Citibank to relocate some ATMs

Mumbai, Feb. 3

Citibank is in the process of changing locations of some ATMs, based on customer usage patterns. A spokesperson from the bank said the decision has been prompted by the fact that there were several areas which require a higher number of ATM centres than what exist currently. He, however, refused to disclose the areas from where ATMs would be relocated. Reacting to media reports that the bank was shutting down some ATMs, the spokesperson said that Citibank has applied for a dditional ATM licences to the RBI and was seeking to increase its network in Mumbai and the rest of the country.
