L&T, Dr Reddy’s bag ICAI awards

New Delhi, Feb. 4 Larsen & Toubro Ltd has bagged the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India’s (ICAI) gold shield for excellence in financial reporting among companies in the infrastructure and construction sector for the financial year 2006-07.

The award was presented to L&T’s whole-time director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Mr Y.M. Deosthale, by the Union Civil Aviation Minister, Mr Praful Patel, at the 58th annual function of the ICAI here today.

Among the manufacturing and trading enterprises (including processing, mining, plantations, oil and gas enterprises), the annual report of Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd was declared as the best presented financial report and won the gold shield for its annual report and accounts for 2006-07.

Infosys Technologies and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) received the gold shield and silver shield, respectively, in the information technology, communication, and entertainment enterprises category.

In the banking, insurance and financial institutions space, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank won the gold shield and silver shield, respectively, for their annual report and accounts for financial year 2006-07.
