Apollo opens cancer helpline
Hyderabad, Feb. 4
The Apollo Cancer Institute, part of the Apollo
Hospitals group, opened a helpline for cancer
patients here on Monday. The helpline, which was
launched by Ramya Krishna, a film actress, will provide
relevant information on the disease. "People can ask
doubts and questions on the issue. Doctors at the institute
will clear them," Dr Vijay Anand P. Reddy, Director, said
here in a press release. Earlier in the day, Ramya Krishna
flagged off `Cancer Awareness Week' at KBR Park, to
spread awareness on the disease. Employees of
multinational companies such as Deloitte, Accenture and
Dr Reddy's Labs, and not-for-profit organisations took
part in the campaign. - Our Bureau
