Kernel oil plant at Eroor

Kottayam, Feb. 6

The Chief Minister, Mr V.S. Achuthanadan, will lay the foundation stone of the new kernel oil plant of the Oil Palm India Ltd at Eroor in Kollam district. The plant, to be set up at a cost of Rs 3 crore, will have an installed capacity of 1.2 metric tonnes. The plant is the first of its kind among the public sector undertakings in India, said Mr V.B. Binu, Chairman, and Mr Mathew Jacob, Managing Director. - Our Correspondent
