Websense data discovery tool

Coimbatore, Feb. 7

Websense Inc has introduced a new tool to help businesses discover and classify confidential data (at risk) automatically. The Data Discover software, according to a company release, would provide organisations a data discovery tool without the additional data monitoring and enforcement capabilities of its data loss prevention suite. It would identify data wherever it is located and in whatever form it takes, be it structured data (such as social security and credit card numbers) or unstructured data (such as marketing plans or proprietary formulas). "The volume of data at rest is growing rapidly. An easyto- use solution would help organisations search their massive volumes of data more accurately, identify and classify confidential corporate information," said Mr Devin Redmond, Senior Director (Product Management), Websense. - Our Bureau
