Bangalore, Feb. 9

The new international airport in Bangalore is racing towards its commercial launch date of March 30 and the basic, individual trials of various systems are in the concluding stages, Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) has said. An integrated trial phase is due next. Airlines’ IT systems have migrated to the new airport and are ready for testing the check-in process. The fuelling process has been gone through several times, BIAL said.

On the ground handling side, training of agents is on with airport-owned equipment, passenger boarding bridges, airport safety and driving. —
