Money & Banking - Debt Market
Bond trading lacklustre

Mumbai, Feb. 13

The bond market was lacklustre and the volumes were thin. The total traded volumes on the order matching system were at Rs 5,215 crore (Rs 7,140 crore). "The short-term papers were under pressure because of the auctions and T-bills; however, the medium and long-term papers continue to be bullish," said a dealer at a private bank.

The 7.99 per cent-9 year 2017 paper opened at Rs 103.58 (7.45 per cent YTM) and closed at Rs 103.57 (7.45 per cent YTM), against the previous close of Rs 103.58 (7.45 per cent YTM). The 8.33 per cent-28 year-2036 paper opened at Rs 106.70 (7.74 per cent YTM) and closed at Rs 106.82 (7.73 per cent YTM). - Our Bureau
