Bangalore, Feb. 14 Wipro Infotech has won a five-year Rs 200 crore ($50-million) IT outsourcing contract from Pantaloon Retail (India) Ltd, which operates in multiple retail formats across the country. As part of the deal, Wipro will roll out and manage IT operations of the retail giant across all its outlets. Services offered will be infrastructure management and application support services, managed security services and data centre hosting, opera tions and management services. The project has gone live and around 250 people from Pantaloon Retail have already been transferred to Wipro and started working on the project, Mr Ushir Bhatt, Executive Board Member, Pantaloon Retail, told Business Line.
