Bharati Shipyard to launch drydock

Bharati Shipyard in partnership with Kolkata-based Corporated Consultancy & Engineering Enterprise Pvt Ltd is launching a dry-dock on Kolkata port’s land on the bank of the river Hooghly to construct vessels. The commissioning, it is learnt, is due soon. Once commissioned, the dry-dock should be able to construct vessels up to the length of 120 ft and width of 20 ft. Bharati Shipyard has a yard of its own on the bank of the Hooghly river in Kolkata. It recently c onstructed a pilot-cum-survey vessel for Kolkata port. The job was executed in partnership with Corporated Consultancy & Engineering Enterprises Pvt Ltd which, it is learnt, is also helping the Maharashtra-based shipbuilding firm to construct six container vessels of 6,500 TEUs each for exports. The buyer is a Norwegian firm. The first vessel has already been launched and all the six vessels, each costing $11 million, are to be delivered within three years, it is further learnt.
