Strategy Industry & Economy - Medical Institutions & Hospitals Fortis Healthworld ties up with Godrej Adhaar Our Bureau New Delhi, Feb. 18 Fortis Healthworld (FHW) has tied up with Godrej Adhaar to extend its reach to rural India. By setting up FHW pharmacies in conjunction with Godrej Adhaar, Fortis Healthworld seeks to empower rural India, mainly the farming community by providing all encompassing health care under one roof. Set up in rural India, these one-stop shops for preventive, curative and supportive care will have, besides regular prescription and OTC drugs, alternate medicines both homeopathic and ayurvedic under the same roof. Support systemsThe stores will also be equipped with a wide range of fast moving health goods and support systems. Home Healthcare Support instruments for daily use will also be available through these stores. To start with, Fortis Healthworld Aadhaar Pharmacies are being launched at the key Aadhaar centers, at Taran Taran, Batala and Amritsar, Punjab. “Most of our population resides in the rural belt and most of them are inaccessible to genuine medicines. There is a huge need and potential for retail pharmacies providing genuine medicines and quality services. We are sure that through this alliance we will be able to unlock the potential of rural markets,” Mr Ashish Kirpal Pandit, CEO, Fortis Healthworld said.
