Education States - Andhra Pradesh Students urged to develop soft skills
Mr K. Srinivasan Our Bureau Tirupati, Feb. 8 Any amount of knowledge and hard skills have no value when a person does not possess sufficient soft skills. A person having soft skills can manage any situation which requires different hard skills, but not vice versa. Saying this, K. Srinivasan, CEO of Prime Point Public Relations P Ltd and Academy for Creative Excellence, stressed the urgent need to cultivate the soft skills among students and urged educational institutions to aid them in that aspect. He was addressing the MBA and MCA students of Sree Vidyaniketan Engineering College at Rangampet (near Tirupati) under the aegis of Business Line Club. “Soft skills, which include positive attitude, good interpersonal skills, effective listening, time management, communication skills and self-confidence coupled with enthusiasm, would make the youth achieve greater success in a competitive environment,” he added. He further emphasised that many non-urban students suffer from lack of self-confidence. Many companies find these students possess a good attitude to learn and come up in life but discover their communication skills need improving. Prof. T. Gopala Rao, Special Officer of the College, was present on the occasion. More Stories on : Education | Andhra Pradesh
