Lufthansa adds more flights from India

Mumbai, Feb. 19 Lufthansa would now be offering 50 flights per week from India via six gateways. According to a statement on Tuesday, the airline announced three weekly flights connecting Mumbai to Munich from May 3.

The German carrier would also be increasing its current services between Kolkata and Frankfurt from three to five flights a week, starting June 3. The flights would be added on Wednesday and Sunday. Together with its partner SWISS, Lufthansa will offer 64 flights a week from India to Europe via its three hubs – Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich.

The statement said Lufthansa will offer special fares for flights to the US that are currently available for travel until June 30. Fares from Mumbai start from Rs 33,000 and from Kolkata the fares would start from Rs 35,000 for flights, subject to availability.
