Soya futures hit upper circuit

Mumbai, Feb 19 Soyabean futures on NCDEX hit the upper circuit of 2.38 per cent at Rs 2,211 per quintal on improved buying interest and firm international market.

In Chicago Board of Trade (CBoT), soyabean and soya oil futures tested historical highs on reports of increased buying interest from China.

Chilli edged up 1.01 per cent to Rs 4,100 per quintal on short covering. Rapeseed/mustard rose 1.07 per cent to Rs 504 per 20 kg as millers stocked up on reports of lower production estimates.

Chana for February delivery moved up 0.98 per cent to Rs 2,572 per quintal.
