New Delhi, Feb. 20 Microsoft Corporation and NIIT today announced the strengthening of their ongoing alliance to make available a large pool of Microsoft Certified professionals for global talent supply. As per the agreement, Microsoft Learning would provide rights of its licenced educational content to NIIT for assisting IT professionals, software developers, businesses and others to acquire skills on Microsoft technologies and products. With the integration of Microsoft Authorised Curriculum into its flagship career program – GNIIT – NIIT would enable career aspirants and IT professionals to earn the Microsoft certification.

“Our partnership with Microsoft and learning content for their upcoming technologies would enhance the employability of students, and help the industry retain its competitive edge, globally,” Mr Vijay K Thadani, CEO of NIIT, said at conference here.

The new training alliance, would enable students to be skilled in the latest developer and database platforms comprising technologies like Visual Studio, .NET and SQL Server which would enhance their employability and make them industry-ready.

NIIT is also developing training programmes for soon-to-be-launched Microsoft products including Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 and Visual Studio 2008 and leading technologies like Silverlight, which would be offered to students across key geographies, including India and China. The new range of programmes would be rolled out across 200 NIIT education centres in India. The company also plans to introduce the curriculum in 30 other countries in a phased manner.
