TCS offshoring deal with Chrysler

Mumbai, Feb. 20 Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered into an offshoring deal with US auto maker Chrysler LLC to provide application maintenance and support services.

Though TCS did not disclose the value of the engagement, it is learnt that the deal is approximately worth $120 million. The automotive industry is one of the focus markets for the TCS Manufacturing vertical which accounts for 15.1 per cent of TCS’s global revenues, said a news release from the company.

TCS provides services to many original equipment manufactures of automotives in North America, Europe and Japan. Reacting to the development, the TCS scrip was up by 1.05 per cent to close at Rs 884.
