Development work on at Nagapattinam port

Nagapattinam, Feb. 22 The Rs 44.50-crore development work being carried out with financial assistance from Asian Development Bank in the tsunami-hit Nagapattinam port is progressing at a fast pace. The projects will be completed in a few months, as per schedule.

This was disclosed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Tamil Nadu Maritime Board, Mr C. Muthukumaraswamy, here on Thursday, after inspecting the works.

He said that all the activities, including the strengthening and extension of the north and south breakwater, construction of four godowns were going on in full swing and would be completed on time.
