Domestic rubber futures firm

Kottayam, Feb. 23 The domestic rubber futures managed to finish in green at the weekend session. The March futures for RSS 4 concluded at Rs 101.49 (101.11), April at Rs 104.11 (103.90), May at Rs 106 (105.58) and June at Rs 108 (107.53) per kg on NMCE.

The open interest stood at 7,041 (7,032) tonnes while the volumes totalled 385 (1,366) tonnes with 169 (584) tonnes in March, 105 (524) tonnes in April, 28 (133) tonnes in May and 83 (125) tonnes in June. The outstanding positions were 4,230 (4,257) tonnes in March, 1,854 (1,844) tonnes in April, 711 (707) tonnes in May and 246 (224) tonnes in June.

The physical rubber market remained closed on account of a State-wide harthal on Saturday.
