Logistics - Supply Chain Management
Overnite Express, APSRTC in pact

Hyderabad, Feb. 23

Overnite Express, a Delhi-based courier services company, has forayed into cargo business by forging an alliance with the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC). Under the agreement, the company would have dedicated space in 16 Garuda (Volvo) services. “The transport utility runs Garuda services to Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra, besides operating to locations in Andhra Pradesh. This will help us connect several points along these routes,” said Mr O.P. Rajgarhia, Chairman and Managing Director. Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, he said the company won the two-year contract in an open tender. “We will get space to ferry goods weighing 1,500 kg in each of the 16 services. We would pay Rs 3 lakh a month,” he said. —
