Call rates close lower

Mumbai, Feb. 25

The inter-bank call rates closed lower at 7.75-8 per cent on Monday, against the previous close of 8.75-9 per cent. The call rate touched an intra-day high of 8.50 per cent.

In the first one-day reverse repo auction under Liquidity Adjustment Facility, the Reserve Bank of India received and accepted one bid for Rs 1,000 crore. In the first one-day repo auction, the RBI received and accepted 18 bids for Rs 25,190 crore. Th e CBLO market saw 508 trades aggregating Rs 33,254.90 crore in the 6-8 per cent range. –
