Laterals in XLRI find many takers

New Delhi, Feb. 26 XLRI School of Business and Human Resources has witnessed a range of offers during campus recruitment from companies with diverse profiles including consulting and finance. As many as 100 offers were made in the lateral season with the highest salary standing at Rs 22 lakh.
The average salary offered in the campus stood at Rs 15 lakh and as many as 90 candidates received offers in senior management levels. Financial services was represented by Barclays, Lehman Brothers, Standard Chartered, JM Financial, Centrum, among many others who made offers in portfolios such as investment banking, treasury sales, trading, product structuring, M &A advisory. The consulting firms were represented by Ernst & Young, Hewitt, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Mercer among others.
Indian business houses such as Aditya Birla group, Essar, RPG too roped in students.
The Al Ghanim Group made international offers to multiple students. Companies such as Infosys offered fast track programmes to students which would provide packages of $1,00,000 a year into the job.
Professor Uday Damodaran, Chairperson Placement Committee said, “The large number of high quality offers in niche areas reinforces the fact that XLRI is the preferred campus for recruitment by corporate when they look for extraordinary talent.”
