Moumita Bakshi Chatterjee New Delhi, Feb 27 In line with its thrust on the financial service industry, HCL Technologies Ltd has entered into a partnership with US-based provider of CRM and decision management solutions, Chordiant Software. Under the agreement, the two would work together to take Chordiant’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) products to HCL’s customers, and also define new markets to take the solutions to new customers. The partnership also spans development of deeper vertical solutions in financial services, enabling both companies to grow their service offerings; and building a robust professional services practice around Chordiant products for product delivery, implementation and support. The partnership leverages the strengths of both organisations in the financial services space and would provide consulting and system integration services to global customers. Chordiant enables companies with high-volume customer service requirements, to deliver an improved customer experience. Chordiant Customer Experience (Cx) front-office solutions blends multi-channel interaction management , enabling companies to capture, anticipate and respond to customer behaviour across various channels including call centres and the Web. “Chordiant’s focus on financial services as an industry segment will add to HCL’s current strength in financial services, and fuel its vision of non-linear growth by delivering value through product partnerships,” Mr Premkumar S, Corporate Officer and Global Head – Financial Services, HCL Technologies, said. India’s fifth largest software exporter HCL, last week, announced the acquisition of US-based Capital Stream, Inc, in an all cash deal of about $40 million, to enhance its presence in financial services sector. Capital Stream provides end-to-end lending and straight through processing solutions to commercial banks and finance companies in North America, including prospecting and sales, credit analysis, due diligence, documentation and portfolio monitoring. According to Mr Steven R Springsteel, Chairman, CEO and President, Chordiant Software, “Our partnership will enable us to expand global customer base with significant focus in the Asia-Pacific region. With HCL as a partner, Chordiant will get access to the professional services practices, talent and tools to provide business analysis, process management, technical and systems integration skills, which can be called upon to deliver the value to our customers.”
