Oakridge to set up school in Vizag

Visakhapatnam, Feb. 28

Oakridge International School - the first international school in Andhra Pradesh located in Hyderabad - is setting up another such school here, to be christened Westwood International School, from the academic year 2008-2009. At a press conference here on Thursday, Mr Janajit Ray, the Vice-President, said the school would be initially set up at Lawson's Bay in the first year and subsequently shifted to Tagarapuvalasa, 25 km from here, on the way to Vizianagaram. The campus would be built on a 10-acre site at a cost of Rs 55 crores. He said, "Westwood International School will seek affiliation to the Central Board of Seconday Education and at the same time be a University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) centre. It is our endeavour to provide international quality education to students." - Our Bureau
