The Hindu Business Line : Central Excise award for MRPL

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) has been accorded the `Appreciation Award' for outstanding contribution to the Mangalore Commissionerate of Central Excise. A statement said here on Friday that MRPL's contribution accounts for 94 per cent of the revenue of the entire commissionerate.

This has facilitated the commissionerate in exceeding the target for 2007-08 much ahead of time. MRPL conducted a `Chemical and Catalyst Vendor Meet' recently to facilitate clear understanding of procurement procedures, procurement cycle, integrity pact, common reasons for rejection of bids, common mistakes made by bidders and also emerging technology-supported procedures like e-auction and e-procurement. - Our Bureau
