Our Bureau Mumbai, March 1 Tata Motors, in the wake of the excise duty and Cenvat reduction, announced price cuts for its small cars, buses and trucks with the immediate effect. The reduction in the price of Indica will be in the range of Rs 8,500– 14,600 and Indigo Compact Sedan will be in the range of Rs 12,700–15,300. The prices of trucks and buses will be two per cent lesser. The company is still working out the exact range of price reduction for buses and trucks and it will be available soon, the company officials said. The price reduction of small cars, buses and trucks were announced at the commercial launch of Sumo Grande, the latest passenger vehicle offering of Tata Motors. It is commercially available from dealerships located in metros and select large cities, said a company statement. “We have already got many bookings. We will start delivery from tomorrow,” said Mr S. Krishnan Vice-President, Passenger Car Business Unit, Tata Motors, said.
