Pune, March 2 Bajaj Auto Ltd sold 1,58,662 motorcycles during February 2008, a drop of 8 per cent from the 1,71,780 units sold in the same month last year. Three-wheeler sales were also down 13 per cent during the comparable months. Exports of both two and three wheelers were up by 65 per cent at 63,182 units, including highest-ever number of motorcycles at 50,894 units. In a statement, the company said that it expected positive overall growth for fiscal 2009 owing to the twin focus on bigger motorcycles and international markets. It also expects exports to continue to fuel growth, thus mitigating the currently lacklustre domestic market. —Our Bureau More Stories on : Performance | Trends | Two/Three Wheelers | Bajaj Auto Ltd
