Hyderabad, March 5

Yashoda Hospital will be setting up an exclusive cancer centre with an investment of Rs 100 crore at its premises in Somajiguda here. The cancer centre would be operational by May 2008 and the hospital has also acquired a Rs 14-crore ‘Rapid Arc’ equipment, Dr G. S. Rao, Managing Director, Yashoda Hospital, told newspersons here on Wednesday. The Rapid Arc machine, first-of-its-kind to be installed in Asia, would facilitate 360 degrees gantry rotation in radiati on treatment for a tumour.
