Canon’s marketing campaign

Bangalore, March 6 As part of its city-specific marketing strategy, Canon is now targeting the Bangalore market. The ‘Namma Bengaluru’ marketing campaign that was kicked off on Thursday will see a flurry of below-the-line and above-the-line activities for six months, showcasing Canon’s consumer systems products.

The promotion involves carnivals, road shows, outdoor hoardings and radio activities. The ‘Namma Bengaluru’ campaign is the third in the series after the ‘Aamchi Mumbai’ and ‘Hamaari Delhi’ campaigns.

Mr Alok Bharadwaj, Senior Vice-President, Canon India, said: “Canon’s Consumer Products division has registered a 38 per cent growth in 2007, which is higher than the industry growth.

“We want to sustain this high growth... Our focus will be to position our category as a ‘must have’ IT device in homes..”
