Our Bureau

New Delhi, March 7 Barclays Bank is in talks with CDMA service providers to offer ‘Hello Money’, the mobile banking solution provided by the bank for customers with GSM handsets.

“We want to give the same ‘Hello Money’ experience that is now being provided to customers with GSM handsets to our customers under CDMA platform also. Talks are on with CDMA service providers such as Tata Indicom and Reliance Mobile”, Mr Suresh Gurumani, Retail Banking Director, Barclays Bank, told a press conference here today.

Mr Gurumani was here to announce the launch of “Hello Money”, a service that would enable the bank’s customers to make account enquiries and financial transactions such as fund transfers, bill payments requests and other banking services through their mobile phones.

Earlier this week, Barclays Bank had announced that the ‘Hello Money’ service would be available on all GSM handsets on the network of Airtel, Vodafone and Idea for a nominal monthly cost of Rs 30.
