DVC project financial closure

Kolkata, March 8

The Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has announced the financial closure of the 1000-MW ( 2 X 500 MW) Durgapur Steel Thermal Power Station (DSTPS). The project is estimated to cost Rs 4,500 crore. DVC sources said the corporation has tied up a Rs 3,120- crore long term loan finance for the project from Rural Electrification Corporation in end February. The project is part of the 5,800-MW capacity addition plan taken up by DVC during the 11th Plan period. - Our Bureau
