Cobra ties up with Mohan Rocky

Mumbai, March 10

Cobra Beer has announced its collaboration with Maharashtra-based brewery Mohan Rocky Springwater Breweries Ltd. Under the agreement, Mohan Rocky will brew Cobra under licence at its facility in Khopoli, Raigadh District, for distribution in Maharashtra. Announcing the tie-up, Ms Poonam Chandel, Chief Operating Officer, Cobra Indian Beer Pvt Ltd, said, “Maharashtra is a key market for us and we were on a lookout for a local brewery that can enable us to provide our consumers with a truly international, super premium beer at affordable prices.”

Apart from Mohan Rocky, currently Cobra is brewed at six locations such as Mount Shivalik in Rajasthan, Impala Breweries in Goa, Mikal in Orissa, Iceberg in Bihar, SOM in Madhya Pradesh and Manav Breweries in U.P. The current capacity is 6 lakh cases per month. Cobra has crossed sales of over 2 million cases within two years of production. With the sales of Cobra growing at 600 per cent year-on-year, the company is targeting a turnover of three million cases by the end of this financial year.
