IT Training States - Kerala Technopark to launch tech finishing school Sankar Radhakrishnan Thiruvananthapuram, Mar. 12 Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram plans to set up a technology finishing school. According to Mr N. Radhakrishnan Nair, CEO, Technopark, the finishing school will offer courses in technical subjects related to IT and will hone the technology skills of people aspiring to enter the IT industry. The 5,000-square feet facility will be located in the Tejaswini building of the Technopark. Technopark authorities are currently in the process of short-listing the agency that will operate the facility. This process is likely to be completed in about two months, he added. While the technology finishing school will be run by a private organisation, Technopark authorities will also be involved in facilitating its operations, Mr Nair said. Designing programmesHe added that he “hopes to rope-in Technopark companies” and make use of their expertise to design the programmes offered by the finishing school. This will help ensure that the school’s courseware is relevant to the requirements of the IT industry, he pointed out. The Tejaswini building of Technopark will also have a soft skills finishing school — the Afras Academy for Business Communication.
