New Delhi, March 13

Escorts Construction Equipment Ltd (ECEL), the construction equipment and material handling equipment manufacturing arm of Escorts, recently collaborated with Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC), to roll out skill-upgrading programmes for construction equipment operators and technicians. Mr Kamal Bali, CEO and Executive Director of ECEL, and Mr P.R. Swarup, Director General from CIDC, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to this effect. The joint certification programme is aimed at addressing the growing demand for trained manpower in the infrastructure industry, which is witnessing tremendous growth and is expected to cross Rs 40,000 crore by the year 2015.
