ECEL-CIDC training programmes
New Delhi, March 13
Escorts Construction Equipment Ltd (ECEL), the
construction equipment and material handling
equipment manufacturing arm of Escorts, recently
collaborated with Construction Industry Development
Council (CIDC), to roll out skill-upgrading programmes
for construction equipment operators and technicians.
Mr Kamal Bali, CEO and Executive Director of ECEL,
and Mr P.R. Swarup, Director General from CIDC, signed
a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to this effect.
The joint certification programme is aimed at addressing
the growing demand for trained manpower in the
infrastructure industry, which is witnessing tremendous
growth and is expected to cross Rs 40,000 crore by the
year 2015. ECEL would launch the CIDC-accredited
programmes across the country in a phased manner. The
first programme is scheduled to be launched at Palwal for
Crane Operator Training - covering operations, upkeep
and maintenance of cranes, a release said. - Our Bureau
