Hind Latex pays 26.6% dividend

Thiruvananthapuram, March 14

Hindustan Latex, an enterprise under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, has paid a dividend of Rs 412.80 lakh to the Centre as dividend for 2006-07. This works out to 26.6 per cent of the paid-up capital, according to a statement from the company. The dividend cheque was handed over by Mr A. Ayyappan, Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan Latex, to Dr Anbumani Ramadoss, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, at a function in New Delhi.

Hindustan Latex recorded a turnover of Rs 245 crore in 2006-07 as against Rs 214 crore in 2005-06, marking an increase of 14.5 per cent. The company made a profit of Rs 19. 4 crore for the year, the statement said. - Our Bureau
