Chennai, March 13 The balance of trade between India and Belgium may tilt in favour of India soon, the Ambassador of Belgium in New Delhi, Mr Jean M. Debountte, has said.

Addressing the media during a meeting organised in the Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry here on Friday, Mr Debountte said the tilt was propelled by the IT sector.

While imports from Belgium were diamonds and precious stones, besides logistics and port development, the trade in favour of Belgium was in the service sector. Since India has been progressing rapidly in the service sector the balance of trade would be soon tilt in favour of India, he added.
