Ferrari’s first India tour

Chennai, March 15

As part of the 11-week long “Magic India Discovery” tour, two Ferrari 612 Scagliettis roared into Shell India’s fuel outlet here on Saturday. Introducing the machines, the Managing Director of Shell India Marketing Pvt Ltd (SIMPL), Mr Surinderdeep Singh, said Shell and Ferrari had been partnering for more than 6 decades in the Formula races and this was the first time Ferrari was touring India. Learning from Ferrari has been a great support for Shell to i mprove quality and SIMPL help siphon these technologies to the Indian consumers, he said. The Director of corporate communications of Ferrari spa, Ms Mariella Mengozzi, said the 11,000 km road trip navigating through India was fourth in a string of tours developed by Ferrari to extend its brand beyond its traditional fan base. —
