Bhoruka Power signs PPA

Bangalore, March 18

Bhoruka Power Corporation Ltd has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam to sell hydel power to the Nigam for 35 years. The project at Western Yamuna Canal, Dadupur (Yamuna Nagar), will be set up with an investment of Rs 42 crore and an installed capacity of 6 MW. It is likely to be completed in the next 15 months. By signing this agreement, the Haryana Government is moving towards fulfilling its mandate of purchasing three per cent of the power generated from the environment-friendly Renewable Energy Sector. - Our Bureau
