Lakme Fashion Week sponsors

Mumbai, March 18

Lakme Fashion Week has announced the names of 57 designers and 12 sponsors for this season. New brands such as Lux and Westside are associated with the designers-led platform, while the rest include companies such as Samsonite, Gitanjali Group, Raymond’s Park Avenue, Madura Garments’ Allen Solly, Chivas, DHL, Taj President, Tag Media Network, among others. At a press conference, Mr Anil Chopra, Vice-President, Lakme Unilever, said, “What makes this season interesting is the inclusion of retail in our focus. We have added a new member – Trent of the Tata Group and plan to make fashion more accessible.” Other sponsors such as Samsonite would use the platform to unleash its new 2008 Black Label collection, while HUL’s brand of Lux would bring out its latest range of body wash under Lux Temptations during the event. The event will be held between March 29 and April 2 at the National Council of Performing Arts in Mumbai.
