The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India organised a one-day seminar on Bank Audit here on Wednesday.

In his inaugural address, the Chairman and CEO of South Indian Bank, Dr V.A. Joseph, emphasised the importance of the role of chartered accountants in improving the systems and procedures prevalent in the banking sector through an effective audit process.

Mr P.G. Sajeev, Chairman, Ernakulam Branch of ICAI, welcomed the gathering and Mr Vivek Krishna Govind, Secretary, Ernakulam Branch of ICAI, proposed vote of thanks.
