Strides new drug gets USFDA nod

Bangalore, March 19

Strides Arcolab's new drug application for antiepileptic Fosphenytoin injection has been approved by the USFDA. Fosphenytoin is the third approval among 22 sterile submissions or ANDAs the company has made to the US regulator. The formulation of 50 mg/ml - available in 2-ml and 10-ml vials - is licensed to Akorn- Strides, LLC, a joint venture formed in 2004 with Akorn, Inc, Strides said.
