Overseas Investments Aptech rejigs operations in China Our Bureau Mumbai, March 19 Education solutions provider Aptech Ltd intends to pick up 22 per cent stake in a new holding company that it will form with its China based joint venture partner. In doing so, Aptech will tender the 50 per cent stake which it has in the Chinese joint venture firm-Aptech Beida Jadebird IT Co Ltd- to the newly formed holding company. Since 1999, Aptech has been active in China through this joint venture. The holding company would be incorporated outside of the People’s Republic of China and will be listed in an internationally recognised stock exchange going forward, said a news release from Aptech. With the combined assets of both the China joint venture and the China joint venture partner, the holding company will have larger and more streamlined business operations and stronger cash flows compared to those of the China joint venture on a standalone basis, said a news release from Aptech.
