Manipal University wins award

Mangalore, March 23 Manipal University has won the Indian Merchants’ Chamber Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality Award 2007. A press release by the university said here on Saturday that Mr Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission, presented the award in Mumbai on Friday. Started in 1997, these awards are conferred on organisations which have adapted and promoted various quality initiatives on a sustained basis. The purpose of the award is to promote quality practices in Indian organisations, it added.
