Chilli futures hit upper circuit

Mumbai, Mar 25

Bullish international market pushed up soyabean futures in NCDEX to hit the upper circuit at 4 per cent to Rs 2,209 per quintal. Tracking a firm Guntur spot market, chilli futures hit the upper circuit at 3.24 per cent at Rs 4,465 per quintal. Taking a cue from Jaipur spot market, barley futures closed higher by 1.29 per cent to Rs 1,100 per quintal.Profit booking pulled down turmeric futures to the lower circuit at Rs 3,270 per quintal, down 2.94 per cent. Kapas tumbled by 1.44 per cent to Rs 518 per 20 kg on profit taking after ther recent rally. Chana registered a loss of 0.72 per cent to Rs 2,879 per quintal on profit taking. On MCX, mentha fell by 1.63 per cent to Rs 433 per one kg on lack of major buying. —
