New Business Agri-Biz & Commodities - Animals & Livestock States - Andhra Pradesh IVRCL bags Rs 79-cr research centre project Our Bureau Hyderabad, March 25 IVRCL Infrastructures and Projects Ltd (IVRCL), the city-based infrastructure company, has bagged a Rs 79-crore contract to build a animal husbandry research centre in Andhra Pradesh at the upcoming Indira Gandhi Centre for Advanced Research on Livestock (IGCARL). The contract involved construction of a research complex, including dairy, poultry, goat and piggery units. IGCARL is coming up over 650 acres in Pulivedula in Kadapa district with a total investment of Rs 400 crore in a span of three years. It would produce veterinary vaccines under public-private partnership model. The initiatives would get the SEZ tag. The centre is aimed at conserving indigenous germplasm, development of feed and fodder resources and improvement of animal reproduction, an IVRCL press release said.
