Bond prices fall

Mumbai, March 25

Bond prices fell by seven paise on Tuesday and the yields hardened by one basis point. The total traded volumes on the order matching system were at Rs 2,645 crore (Rs 2,065 crore). The market opened 30 paise lower on the announcement of government planning programme. It however recovered later during the day.

The 7.99 per cent-nine year-2017 paper opened at Rs 101.50 (7.76 per cent YTM) and closed at Rs 101.68 (7.73 per cent YTM) against the previous close of Rs 101.75 (7.72 per cent YTM). The 8.33 per cent-2036 paper opened at Rs 100.30 (8.30 per cent YTM) and closed at Rs 100.66 (8.27 per cent YTM), against the previous close of Rs 101.02 (8.23 per cent YTM). - Our Bureau
