PVH Corp, Arvind Brands ink pact

Bangalore, March 25

Phillips-Van Heusen Corp has signed an exclusive licence agreement with Arvind Brands for its sportswear brand IZOD. According to the multi-year agreement, Arvind Brands will design, distribute and retail the American brand in India. It covers a range of segments — sports shirts, T-shirts, trousers, shorts, swimwear and accessories. Plans are on to set up IZOD flagship stores in the country. Mr J. Suresh, CEO, Arvind Brands, said: “With this partnership, Arvind Brands will now have a strong presence in the sportswear segment. I believe this is a segment that is at the cusp of an explosive growth in India.” According to Mr Kenneth Wyse, President – Licensing, PVH Corp, “The PVH Corporation has been a part of India through its flagship brand Arrow for more than 15 years now and is committed even more strongly to bringing in its large portfolio of brands.” IZOD has a global turnover of over $1 billion across all categories.
